Sunraysia Nurseries is constantly on the lookout for new and exciting varieties that give commercial growers a competitive advantage. To help access new private varieties either imported from overseas or bred locally Sunraysia Nurseries joined ANFIC (Australian Nurseryman’s Fruit Improvement Company).
ANFIC is a National company made up of twelve progressive nursery members. The company was formed in 1983 to undertake, promote and further the improvement, import and export of fruit varieties and rootstocks to the horticultural industry on its own behalf or on behalf of any member or non-member.
As a member of ANFIC Sunraysia Nurseries enjoys access to many breeding programs including citrus programs from Israel, South Africa and Italy.
In addition to our ANFIC license we have also secured propagation rights with the Sunworld breeding program and also Jempi’s breeding program.
These licenses enable us to produce the following exclusive citrus varieties:
Eureka Seedless Lemon
And these table grape varieties:
These are just a few of the varieties that are or soon will be available and there are more varieties being added to the programs regularly.
Most of these exclusive varieties are grown within grower clubs and have planting caps to protect the market from oversupply and ensuring good returns to the grower members. If you are interested in growing any of these new varieties then please contact us to discuss your options.
